Event Description

From Senator Colbeck

Too often, our government focuses on how much additional money is needed to address a problem, rather than looking for the most common-sense way to fix it. A perfect example is the way in which our government is trying to fix Michigan's roads. As a principled conservative, I have taken a different approach. Rather than raise taxes, I found a way to lower expenses by upgrading the quality of our roads. This would make the roads last much longer, and over time would drastically reduce the amount we spend on road maintenance, eliminating the need for a tax increase of any kind.
