Event Description

Hey Rattlers,

Just wanted to pass on that we have secured the Eaton County Fair Grounds for a huge combined Tea Party rally/festival/hoop la!

Here are the firmed up details so far: Secured "Grandstand" speakers Phyllis Schlafly and Pastor Levon Yuille (Joshua's Trail), Judge Michael Warren, James Keena and Chris Levels.

Also speaking will be gubernatorial candidate Mike Bouchard, Pete Hoekstra, Tom George and Mike Cox.

Sec. of State Terri Lynn Land opens the forum for Sec. of State candidates Ruth Johnson, Cameron Brown, and Anne Norlander, and Paul Scott.

We will be having events for the kids as well. Crafts, inflatables, historical games, videos and characters, balloons, and face painting.

Food and craft vendors, live music and plenty of patriotic enthusiasm.

Cost is $5 per adult and kids are free.

For vendors interested in selling products, or candidates interested in handing out literature and meeting VOTERS, there will be a rent a space fee of $50.

Please go to for the form.

If you have a camper you can hook up on the site for $15 a day.

I did the drive and from Plymouth it is about an hour and 23 minutes.

It's going to be an exciting day to join with other Tea Party folks across our state.

This movement will be part of history and you are all making it.

Here in our book, this will be a chapter for Michigan.

Any questions please feel free to ask them on our ning site or to email them in to our website.

Wish we would have had a combined event like this for 2011 - though the WAAM 1600 Freedom Festival at Whitmore Lake may have been this years equivalant, that I couldn't make it to. We've got to keep a high profile, like I talk about in my blog "<a target="blank" href="">Hey Progressives - Here's Your Sign!</a>" We need a big profile REDUCE DEBT AND DEFICIT events coordinated across the country.

You are right we should check into it. I am marching tomorrow in the Salem Flag Day parade for Rodney Nanney (state rep running in my district). I will check with the neighboring cities and see what needs to be done to participate in a July 4th parade.

The only "free" thing we are promoting is FREE-DOM!

Are Tea Party Groups and/or RattleWithUs going to march in any community 4th of July parades?
A good opportunity to get out the word and increase exposure. Lots of flags, signs, enthusiasm has shown up at other events. Even just a few folks in any parade can make an impact.

Sounds like a great event, better than Woodstock.
