Our Venom Is Our Vote
Each passing April 15th brings up stories and memories of the creation of the TEA Party movement over seven years ago.
Thought it would be interesting to gather together four organizers from the first TEA Party rallies of 2009. Those who went on to form groups that still meet on a regular basis. Four different leaders, four different locations, and four different "flavors" of TEA.
Our guests will be:
Gene Clem - Kalamazoo TEA Party
Bill Gavette - Lapeer County TEA Party
Dennis Moore - Willow Run TEA Party (Washtenaw)
Wes Nakagiri - RetakeOurGov (Livingston)
Why the rallies? What's been accomplished? Where are we headed? Those questions and others will be asked and answered during a panel discussion.
Senator Colbeck will be doing a legislative update. One item will be his sponsored SB 826 which is attempting to repeal and replace Common Core.
Below is a link to information on the committee hearing for the legislation. It will be Tuesday, April 19th at 12:00. Your attendance in support would be appreciated.
In addition Air Force veteran and past intelligence office of the year, Tony Sharkey will be doing a precinct delegate business model presentation. A big picture discussion on the history, process, where we are today, and how to make it work for you.
Please make plans to attend what will be a very interesting and informative evening. We will be starting promptly at 7:00 PM. See you there!
