“Who fights for our freedom?” is a question that I have been contemplating as of late. It is an open ended question with many possible answers. We have all considered the soldier that literally is putting his life on the line. We have considered the political orator/legislator that fights in the rooms of state office buildings and the State Senate, such as our honorable and courageous Pat Colbeck. But what of ordinary citizens such as you and I? When we are “fighting” for the privilege of…See More

Lots of discussion, questions, opinions, postings and emails regarding the proposal to do away with the personal property tax. Not many out there explaining how this is going to work and usually what voters don't understand leads to a "no" vote. With August 5th just around the corner and this proposal on the ballot, we figured it would be nice to have someone in the know come with an explanation and willing to answer any questions you have. That someone "in the know" will be Mackinac Center's…See More

Campaign for Liberty
Training and goal setting meeting
We will continue our delegate training for those who have missed previous meetings and expand upon previous information for those who have attended past meetings. A review of Roberts Rules of parliamentary procedure with some practice/role playing will demonstrate what you can expect at conventions.
We will work together by presenting ideas to set goals for convention. Time permitting; we would like to open the floor for discussion. We have an exciting announcement regarding an addition to the district 11 leadership family!
We encourage everyone to bring friends and family to build on what we have started. Our meetings are open to all.
Wednesday, March 10 at 7:00 pm
Canton Coney Island Restaurant
8533 N. Lilley Road, Canton, MI
