Down But Not Out

OK. We lost Round One but the fight is far from over. Already Jim DeMint is launching a bill to repeal Obamacare and Idaho is suing the Feds over constitutional issues. 37 more states are preparing suits of their own. In Michigan, the Thomas More Law Center has filed suit on behalf of individual residents.…

Here is a great way to register your discontent. The opposition to the health care bill in this (nonscientific) online poll was over 90% when I voted. Email the link to all of your friends. Let's see if we can get it to 99%.

St. Barton's Ode

I have no idea who St. Barton was, but I am feeling the same way he did when he made the statement:

"I am hurt, but I am not slain. I will lie me down and bleed awhile, then I will rise up and

fight again."

The passing of the health care Bill has only strengthened my resolve to fight the government takeover of health care and…

The passage of the Health Care albatross last night (Sunday) signifies a troubling shift from the "shifting sands of debate" to the "quicksand of bad policy."

The propaganda to justify this beast is only beginning. A lot more will be said and a lot more follow-up legislation is forthcoming to increase and solidify the roll of government. Hopefully the states can mount a fight more effectively than those waged in the past.

How many people in America actually believe that… Continue

Stupek - Wake up!

Mr. Stupek - I am not yet your constituent. However I am a home owner in your district and, upon my retirement in May 2010, I may well become your constituent. I must speak out in protest about your intention to vote "yes" on this horrendous health care bill. If you believe that a presidential "order" will eradicate their intention to allow for public funded abortion, you are very naive. What is to stop the president to issue a new order, AFTER he gets your vote, that negates his "presidential… Continue

This is important! Act Now!
I did some quick research on the need for health care and found that in true Obama form, he is severely distorting facts. He should be in sales.

*Only 21 million are estimated without insurance for an entire year (first link). And 9.7 million are NOT even American citizens (2nd link)!

*The 40 million+…

Health Care Bill Has Extra "Education Reform Rider"

Apparently the gargantuan health care bill is not just about health care. Besides 2,700+ pages sporting trillions in new government expenditures on health care and supportive bureaucracy, the bill also contains components of "education reform" in the form of extensive student federal loan program changes. The congressional practice of piggybacking disparate pieces of legislation to push agenda is not new, but it is typically irksome and occasionally concerning. This particular… Continue

2010 Census Information

The decennial (10-year) U.S. Census forms are coming out mid-March, 2010. The last Census was in 2000. Similar to last time, there will be “short” and “long” forms. The longer forms will be sent to about 1 in 6 households, all others will receive the short form. Households, businesses, and organizations are compelled to provide Census data by the federal government. A follow up contact by Census takers will occur if a household does not return the form fully completed in a timely manner (a few… Continue
