Sometimes, I feel like I'm in the movie The Invasion of the Body Snatchers. If I fall asleep, I'll wake up like so many others and start to believe what the mainstream media is telling me. I can understand why people have the wrong impression of the TEA Party movement and people; that's what they are being told. After all, this is the same media that gives them the sports, the weather and every other bit of news they get. "Why would they lie to me?", they ask.
This media is the same one that, for the most part, misrepresents us as evil, bigoted, gun toting crazy people. Why would they want to show us in a bad light. Do the reporters try to report the truth and the editors give it a bad slat? Do they purposefully pick pictures that show us in a bad light? What's in it for them? What do they get out of it? I think I have the answer.
It may be the "last one eaten" theory. Perhaps they see what is coming as inevitable. So, why fight it? Just go with the flow. They are most likely well paid and have some status. What about their children and grandchildren? Don't they care about them? Of course they do, kinda. They probably figure that since they support the lies, their heirs will be "taken care of".
In a world where everyone will be eaten up eventually, it's not a matter of being able to out run the lion that is chasing you. It's a matter of being able to run faster than the person next to you. This is the liberal mindset, at least at the top. They tell the media what to say, and people believe it. Those at the top know that those at the bottom (we the people) will be eaten first. They will reap the benefits (power, money or status) until they are eventually eaten.
I never did like Kool Aid. Now, I know why.
