The Michigan Board of Canvassers will hold a meeting on Friday, July 23, 2010, 10:00 a.m., regarding the recent nefarious filing of the petition for an "official Tea Party" in the state.
The Tea Party should have representatives there (and other venues for that matter) to address the Board and raise serious concerns, questions, requests for action, etc.
Attached is a Secretary of State (SoS) web site screen shot and link.Note that person/groups wishing to address the board must submit a request in writing PRIOR to the meeting. Time to address is limited to three minutes. A series of persons could accomplish a lot if judiciously positioned.
Is there legal counsel working on halting this fraudulent petition? If so, who and what are their plans and do they need help? There may be a matter of estoppel
that could be used as leverage if the proper vantage is taken.
Legitimate Tea Party activity in Michigan could be adversely affected by the petition and subsequent abuses.
