The Terry family has set up The Brian A. Terry Memorial Fund. The money will be a scholarship fund to help pay tuition for young people from broken families who want to attend the Police Academy. Those that wish to donate can do so at any 5/3rd Bank, or visit www.53.com to find a customer number and call in a donation.
If you boil down the government's responsibilities, the major one would be to protect us. At the local level, it's the police and fire. At the federal level, it's the military. Do you feel protected, when our border control officers are out manned and out gunned? Do you feel protected when an agent of the American government is killed on U.S. soil and Napolitano says the borders are as secure as they have ever been?
Carl Levin co-sponsored the Dream Act; Stabenow voted for it. The intent was to make illegals legal. Instead of securing the border, our Senators’ solution is to get a bigger bucket, instead of fixing the leak. America has been protecting the 38th parallel since 1953. We have 30,000 troops stationed in Korea today. Yet, we can’t protect our own border?
Please contact Levin, Stabenow and any other representative you know. Express your concerns and disgust at their actions and lack of actions to protect us. If our borders were secured, Officer Terry would be alive today.
The AZ Memorial Service for Brian will begin at 11 a.m. Jan. 21 at Kino Stadium, located in Tucson AZ. The public is welcome.
