Sarah Palin Came to Town and Did Us Proud

Below is a photo taken this morning May 1st just before SARAH PALIN gave the 1 hour Keynote Address of the DEFENDING THE AMERICAN DREAM SUMMIT sponsored by "AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY" at the Mt. Zion MagaChurch in Clarkston, Michigan this morning. It was one fantastically encouraging speech. We must not give up! Be advised that the entire speech was videotaped and will be available for showing to our RATTLE WITH US Group if you'd like to see it. And believe it or not SARAH PALIN is listed as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World in the most recent issue of TIME MAGAZINE that we received today and so was GLENN BECK.

I did get one of those pieces of pizza autographed by Palin - I ate the wrong one on the way home!

I guess some pastors are getting the message David Barton (Wallbuilders) is sending - get engaged or lose big. "Occupy till He comes" and I know God will bless the men that step up to the task.

About Nolan Finely - for me, I might have put him a little above Palin as far as speeches. First time I've heard him speak and so many people I commented that to, mentioned his column. Guess I do need to read the paper.

Doesn't surprise me at all about Glenn Beck. My brother never followed politics, calls me and my mom "Bible Thumpers" and yet for the last two years has been watching Glenn Beck faithfully.

Influential? You betcha.

Thanks for your comment Sharon -

Pamela and I thought the same thing regarding the fact that the pastor agreed to let his (God's) facility be used for this political event but even came to give the opening prayer. Another thought of mine was how can one pastor have such a large congregation as to use such a theatre/sanctuary as that while other pastors only have 20, 50 or 100 people in attendance. Not to worry about all the intricate details, I guess, after all God keeps up with the finer points. I downloaded a 30 minute video of this pastor preaching but haven't taken time to watch all of it yet.

Regarding your question about the Governors race, my friend and I left about 1:30 and did not catch the debate. Glad that it was fruitful. I expect to be at the meeting next Monday.

Yes, AFP is a dedicated and capable organization. I enjoyed all of the other speakers that I heard, especially Nolan Finley who does a lot of writing about Patriotic Tea Party events.

Keep up the good work Tom. Someone needed to be standing in the rain and I guess you were chosen. Ha Ha. I thought Sharon was going to say that she had your pizza slice autographed by Sarah Palin.

It was a wonderful event Rondal - from the speakers to the Mt. Zion church location.

It is so great to see pastors willing to such an obvious political stand for America and for Christians.

What did you think of the gubernatorial debate? I think seeing a debate live gives you so much more insight to the candidates and their personalities. Body language, interaction with each other, how they act when they are not on camera - and crowd reaction to the answers these men gave.

I talked to two people who have changed their choice of candidates since watching the debate on Saturday.

AFP did a super job organizing and filling the day with qualified and interesting speakers/topics.

I felt bad sitting in the nice, dry auditorium and thinking about Tom standing in the rain at the U of M protest. God bless you guys that went out so early in the morning and standing in the down pour.

Tom, I brought you back a piece of the pizza we got at the lunch break. I tried to get you Palin's autograph but I had the wrong colored tag - I was just a commoner in attendance.
